Hoo boy, we are still combing through the thousands (!) of images from last weekend’s inaugural Tattoo Hollywood convention, but there are some gems in there. With three photographers going, we couldn’t be there for every photo (and as such may not be able to give proper artist credits in every shot), but hopefully these at least convey the atmosphere of the weekend. After the jump? Day two at the convention, including Saturday night’s after-party.

Ha ha, well if this isn’t some sweet retribution. We’re used to seeing Xed Le Head inflict unknown pain and suffering on various clients, but now the tables have turned! Here he is, getting a taste of his own medicine, courtesy of Pink (from Tattoo Pink in Hasselt, Belgium). Really though, this is just a whole lot of incredible tattoo work in one place, and judging by the stoic display, this is just further evidence that Xed is nothing if not the consummate bad-ass.

It’s always a joy when supremely talented artists also have the presence of mind (and talent) to send in great photos too, is it not? Needless to say, we were tickled to get this shot of Dani Danger, courtesy of the hot-handed Steve Haworth and featuring custom ear jewelry and an implant by the man himself. Plus, of course, we also get to use our “Hearty Mohawks” tag for the second time in two weeks, and that, well…that’s just swell.

Whoa hey, it’s Countess Grotesque, checking in with one hell of a hearty mohawk, among other lovely adornments! Those adornments being, of course, the various symbols and insignia tattooed on her head and neck, not to mention a (to my eyes) damn-near flawless make-up-and-jewel job. Also? Bright green fishnets. What’s that song again? “My Stockings Are So Bright I Gotta Wear Shades”? Something like that.
