Walking the lines

By Rob • Jun 28th, 2011 • Category: ModBlog

This foot was made for walking.  It was also made for a generous amount of ink.  It also happens to be attached to a really awesome dude named Alan.  Given how notoriously painful foot tattoos are, the boldness of the black and sharp lines are a testament to both Alan and the artist.

Stop and smell the roses

By Rob • May 31st, 2011 • Category: ModBlog

Then again, this may be one rose you might not want to smell.

Anji sent in this photo along with a number of her other works, so expect to see some more from this talented IAM member.

The yin and the yang, the hard ass and the sweetheart

By Sean Philips • May 19th, 2011 • Category: ModBlog

Feet tattoos scare some people, not having them, but the act of getting them. Hand poked tattoos have that same effect. So when someone get’s a  hand poked foot tattoo, I think it’s safe to assume they are somewhat of a badass…….yet with the pink toenails all the sudden they seem sweet and approachable. So here’s a pair of bad ass, yet sweet and approachable feet tattooed by  Biran Wood of Self Made Studio in Asheboro, NC.

Bullet Proof

By Rob • Apr 6th, 2011 • Category: ModBlog

I’m really digging this typographic/abstract foot piece by James Dean Pruitt from Alliance Tattoo Lounge in Yuma, AZ.  The ink blurs give it an almost stenciled feel to it, with the paint being smeared as the stencil was removed.

Get a life

By Rob • Jan 27th, 2011 • Category: ModBlog

It’s been a while since we’ve seen a flat out nerdy tattoo, thankfully Darren Millar from Goodtimes Tattoo Belfast in Northern Ireland just sent in this badass 1-up mushroom, so the nerd-free streak is broken.

For more foot tattoos, check out the foot tattoo gallery.

Float like a butterfly

By Rob • Jan 27th, 2011 • Category: ModBlog

In keeping with today’s the animal theme, we have a monarch butterfly tattoo done by Holly Azzara from Visions in Medway, MA.

When submitting images to BME you can tag an image for multiple categories.  For example, this image can be found in both the butterfly tattoo gallery, and the foot tattoo gallery.

The BMEGirl Friday

By Rob • Jan 7th, 2011 • Category: ModBlog

With the new year I’m going to try to bring back the old tradition of a BME Boy or Girl post on Fridays.  That doesn’t mean they won’t pop up during the week, but for those that look forward to the Friday hotness, consider your requests fulfilled.

Today we’ve got a couple of pictures of Stembot, who can make standing around in a kitchen or laying on a couch so much more than a mundane activity.

The octopus in the above photo was done by Ross Trimmer from True Tattoo in Richmond, VA

There’s one more photo of Stem, but you’ll have to keep reading to check it out.

Dear Santa…

By Rob • Dec 20th, 2010 • Category: ModBlog

I’ve been pretty good this year.  Much more so than last year when I ended up with a lump of coal in my stocking.  So for working really hard at being nice, can you please leave Madison under my tree.  I’ve attached a couple of pictures to this letter so you’ll know exactly which Madison it is.

The other picture might land her on the naughty list, so I hid it behind the clickthrough.

Ask and ye shall receive!

By Jen • Dec 17th, 2010 • Category: ModBlog

The other day, I got an email from a BME user named Johan, who asked if we couldn’t add a “foot tattoos” section. Given that we have a section for hand tattoos and facial and neck tattoos, it seemed a little strange that we didn’t have one already. So, I created a new section for foot tattoos! It’s looking a little bare right now though in the couple of days since I’ve added it I’ve had several submissions to it so I think that’s a good sign!

Here’s where I ask you, readers, is there a section you’d like to see in the BME galleries? I’m not making any promises but if there’s a section that you think should be there, that isn’t right now, let’s hear it.

This foot is brought to you by *chineedred* who, unfortunately, didn’t provide us with any details about the artist.

Toeing the line

By Rob • Nov 11th, 2010 • Category: ModBlog

Pharmaecopia sent in these photos of his newest addition, a dotwork swastika tattoo on his foot.  geRi from Swastika Tattoo in Budapest is the artist responsible.

If you look closely you can see that the dotwork extends right into the cuticles on his toes.
