Not THAT GUY again!

By Sean Philips • Feb 8th, 2010 • Category: ModBlog

Brian Decker is no stranger to Modblog, in fact, rarely a week goes by that his name doesn’t get credited in a post. When I search the updates to various galleries looking  for photos worthy of featuring here, I try and maintain some sort of variety both in content and with the artist responsible for the work. However, Brian just keeps knocking out amazing piece after amazing piece and who am I to deny featuring them just  for the sake of variety?

Anyhow, when it comes to 3d art implants, not only is Brian awesome at the technical procedure he is also awesome  as an artistic silicone carver. He really understands what amount of detail will show through in the healed product and has the carving skills to make it all work. This picture of Nae’s 10 month old flower implant he did is a great showcase of those skills.

Before and After

Brian sent in this kick ass photo set. I wish more people sent in procedural photos like this so you can actually see what it looked like when it was done and then what it looked like when it was healed. We’ve all seen amazing scarification of fresh work but it’s almost a treat to get to see them side by side. I’m a big fan of how this looks fresh but I think it healed up really well. The cutting also has areas that are filled in with a hyfrecator. Brian can be found in Brooklyn, NY at Pure Body Arts.

This Week in BME

By Jordan Ginsberg • Dec 19th, 2008 • Category: ModBlog

And here we have a cutting of Africa, the only place in the world that is not currently being blanketed by the devil’s snow, done by Williamsburg’s shiniest head, Brian. With the rest of the planet currently covered in snow, making travel and general movement impossible, it’s nice to imagine being on the savannah somewhere, perhaps trapped inside the balmy mouth of a vicious lion. Oh, warmth.

And there goes the week. This time, we:

  • Crawled up from the bottom of the ocean.
  • Wore our snappy BME Shop duds. As should you!
  • Had a delicious ice cream float, with extra penis.
  • Ogled.
  • Wang’d some more.
  • Looked for the creeps who robbed Canvas LA.
  • Breached security.
  • Did a little axe-murderin’.
  • If the snow doesn’t get us, we’ll pop in over the weekend a little, and then dig ourselves out, Monday morning. Be safe in the snow, and as always, thank you for your continued support of BME. Have a great weekend, everyone.

    Wear a Brown Tie

It’s really not that hard to get on ModBlog, you know. All it takes is the right combination of interesting photography, well placed piercings, skin-tight latex and a good measure of amateur dentistry. Clearly, pinkdekay up there has been paying attention to our standards of excellence.

Can Opener scarification by Brian Decker

You see a cutting like this and it makes you curious about the person wearing it. Are they an alcoholic in the 1920s, or maybe just a big fan of pineapple juice? A bartender, or a no-holds-barred street brawler? A Luddite decrying the newfangled electric pursuits of our modern world, or simpzzzzzzzzz OH, hey, you should probably just ignore me and admire the handiwork of Brooklyn’s favorite son, Brian Decker of Pure Body Arts.
