I have an appointment to get some scarification done and was talking to my artist a few months before I created the appointment and she said that any cutting on the chest tends to get really built-up keloids that will eventually restrict mobility/become uncomfortable and that any good artist would not attempt a chest/stomach scarification...
Im dying and not joking, if anyone can me the info on how to get this done, or how to get the blades so I can get it done, please help.
Its on my Bucket list.
Thank you.

Depends on your body, but you can stretch faster then that, this is going to sound stupid but I stretched and downsized fast, so I knew I stretched easily. I went swimming in a creek with a newly stretch ear (bad idea) and it got infected. I took out the jewelry and it went from 1" down to 8g in about 12 hours. So I knew I stretched easy, once it healed I was back up to 28mm in 3 weeks :D
Stupid I know, but it works for me, I have healthier ears then my friend who has taken 2 years to get to 22mm
Or you could just go the cheap and easy at home way. Photoshop is ridiculous...... But it's amazing what they can do to these celebs now.

Haha.. Long-standing "gotcha" for me, I guess.
I didn't realize that this was an April Fool's joke until today, after reading the comments that referred to it from this year's April Fool's.
What can I say? You constantly see people willingly amputate digits, hands, arms, legs, genitals, et cetera. This was very believable, aside from the images. I guess I attributed it to poor quality>.>
so... this is the father of the alleged battered and abused child... she just had her second birthday in march... she wears here ear rings occasionally... when she doesnt want them in, we dont force her to wear them... so... ta dah... all is well and no one died... so fuck off all you nay sayers... and eric (lizardman), please rid us of your stupidity and existence... thank you all...
Wow, I have to say, looking at the pictures did make me stare open-mouthed for a while, as I'm not used to seeing such things, but also, wow, good on him!
@234 - those who kill to have their body back to what you call 'normal', don't you think amputation in what makes him feel 'normal'? He can do whatever he likes to his body, it's no skin off your nose.
This has helped me understand why people would do DIY amputations, and I can totally see why he wouldn't want to tell his wife, although it may not be the right thing to keep it from her...to me, it's the same as a cross-dresser keeping it from his wife, something you love to do, and are not sure others would understand.
It's ignorance that makes people react so badly, I find it quite single-minded.
I don't think I'd ever be keen on an amputation, but I think if that's what he wants to do, nobody should stop him or tell him it's wrong, because it's not. It's body modification, which is what BMEzine is all about isn't it?
In my opinion, it's just like getting a tattoo, or a piercing, only on a different scale. It's something you can't cover up or remove if you change your mind.
Also, to whoever said it, I don't think he will be getting a prosthetic leg, as he likes his amputation. So don't worry about your tax money going on that, just remember it's probably going to fund alcoholics and people on welfare, or something like that ;)
Ok, several things here.
Molex, Sean, and Giles, I completely agree with you guys. I can understand each person can modify their own body if they so choose, but the risks of such a thing? I mean, my vision is such that without glasses or anything, I can't see past my own nose. I cannot imagine having to go blind.
BT Makin Time-post #103 I believe- while you do have a few points, wikipedia is not the best resource, a medical journal or website would have been better, if you wanted to have a strong supporting resource.
To those who want this procedure and those who did it: I confess, I do not understand. I know you seek beauty and your body is rightfully yours to paint, pierce, or decorate as you please, so don't get me wrong, I have nothing personal against you. However, Why would you risk your eyesight? For one, you won't be able to look on and appreciate the art you have on your body or eyes and even appreciate any new additions, would that not defeat the purpose? and if for some reason you don't want it or things go wrong, you can't reverse it like full eye colored contacts.
On a final note- i have no evidence or real ability to critiscize or judge but for AngelOfBetrayal- how old are you? I must ask, because, I could be totally wrong, and if so- I apologize, but you write and express your desire for eye modifications in such a manner that makes you seem not yet fully mature or old enough to understand the risks.
"we’re too young to get tattoo’s so don’t take away our only other way of being ourselves!"
A hole in your face is not the only way to be yourself. Neither is ink in your skin.
And I know its harsh, but if a person shoves a piece of chain link through their face, they deserve what they get.
I fellupon this pic by accident. My mind raced and I placed my hand on my head as my heartbeat increased. Even after e few minutes i felt light headed, not because of the gore, you paint a mental picture of yourself doing this to your own thumb and it makes you freak out in your mind.
wicked shit man.
wicked.
I wonder if there are ways of professionally getting these sorts of procedures done so one wouldn't have to do it themselves and could be in the comfort of a hospital or something similar.

"It encourages people to think and ask questions, not necessarily ask Paul questions, but question what they currently think or know about Tattoos."
Bull. Shit. People get random or pointless or just plain stupid tattoos all the time. Don't give this guy credit for being artistic- it is not artistic just because it is random. If you were to ask me, he just wanted a tattoo and couldn't come up with a good idea so he used, "it makes you ask questions," as an excuse.. That and he want's to show everyone how much of a nerd he is.
i do think as others do that it is not as simple a question. there is no basic answer. i would say it does depend on the type of customer base the particular studio owner is trying to reach out to as well as how attractive the modifications are. we all wear clothes. some have no clue how to dress themselves well and come across as slobs well on the other hand some can make a rather overbearing style look absolutely beautiful. it is the same with body modification. we are dressing ourselves in a more permanent sense. the placement, conditions of the modifications, and jewelry can go in either direction. one who has a good sense of what looks good will appear far more presentable than a person with chopped up teflon nostril plugs and batteries through their lobes. i think though it all comes down to the owners particular veiw on what will be accepted in their community. i also, as allen mentioned, think that intelligentence, manners, knowledge, and good self confidence may over shadow one who is very heavily modded and allow them to get into a studio that may usually look past these individuals.
I absolutely aadore Pauly- I stumbled across him on the Myspaxx and was just blown away by what a unique, friendly and adorable individual he is; I love people dedicated to their cause + nOt letting society's view of "norm" stop them from beiing happy- and in that cOmes true beauty :)

All my life I feel that pain and fear ov pain is the one thing that hOlds baack all humans- (I'm not ov course referring to cancer patients as yoU are) but once yoU can conquer pain, yoU can do anything~! I am using the hooks in my skin and the levitation ov my body- with my Own body to prOve to mysElf that I no longer have pain to fear- that my body is my own vessel and I have no limitations to what I can do :)
There will be a million and one reasons for these things- that beiing mine in any case- I hope this shed some liight :)
In New Zealand, where I live, almost no one at all is circumcised. The foreskin is a part of the male anatomy and it's there for a reason guys. I don't like to discriminate so I don't really mind if a guy is cut or not (not that I've been with a guy who was, but I've seen it) but I guess I prefer if they are not cut, because they have more sensation and it's fun to play with :)

i wouldn't get a tattoo of anyone's face on myself.
but no one can get mad at the person that got the tattoo.
the question is not who's face it is.
but who's body it is on.
it's his decision.
not her's.
yup.
