I thought the perfect way to chase away the winter blues and remind myself (and you) that Spring is around the corner would be with a series of flower tattoos. Who knows, maybe this year will be the year I finally get that flower tattoo I’ve wanted for roughly 15 years.

Hey, aw, this is sweet, right? Neither of these folks, Nadine (more) or Alex (more), are strangers to this corner of the Internet’s Wild West, but Nadine sent in these shots of the happy pair sporting a damn ocean’s worth of ink by our old friend Marc (with photos by Marc as well), and you know what? They were too damn cute to pass up. Everyone understands, right? Right. After the jump, some sound advice, in the form of a tattoo, etc.
Hey, we’ve featured his work once or twice before, and, if I’m not mistaken, he’s really filled out his facial tattoo work since he was last pictured, so here’s Marc of the world-famous Swastika Freakshop, sporting some handsome work by Lionel from Out of Step (who has also been shown here on occasion). Clearly this was just an attempt by the two of them to be included on ModBlog again. There is literally no other explanation.
It’s been a while since we’ve featured a piece from Swastika Freakshop here on the ol’ ModBlog (no, really, it has!), so here we have yet another epic backpiece by Marc, this one coming in under the title “Boom Shiva.” As always, holy hell is there a lot to like about Marc’s work, and this is no exception.

This backpiece comes to us—surprise, surprise—from Marc at Swastika Freakshop in Radolfzell, Germany. It’s not just Marc’s technical skills as a tattooist that impress me (although they’re off the charts), but his aesthetic: The designs he comes up with seem so bizarre sometimes, but what they really indicate is a thorough understanding of the human form, and it’s a style that, ultimately, is equal parts complementary and jarring. All of which is to say, Marc pisses excellence, plain and simple. He wakes up in the morning and pisses excellence.

Oh hey, it’s Primitive, hanging out in Germany, taking a jaunty stroll! He’s a happy gent, that one, but why the big grin? Probably something to do with the fact that he’s covered in good stuff from the magicians at Swastika Freakshop in Radolfzell, Germany. After the jump, check out a close-up of his neck piece, as tattooed by Marc, with whom I think you’re familiar by now.
Hey, it’s actually been a little while since we’ve posted anything from the mad geniuses at Swastika Freakshop! The last we had Nadine on ModBlog, it was to show off her gorgeous done-by-Freakshop wings. This time around? Her stunning symmetrical sleeves, naturally done by Marc at the aforementioned Swastika Freakshop. This lady is sporting some of the nicest goddamn tattoos around.
Says tattoo artist Anji, “We’re going to be doing a ’speaking bubble’ on the other wrist at some point.” Cute! In the meantime, what could Lora be thinking about? Hmm …

Big weekend ahead for sports fans: The Georges St.-Pierre–B.J. Penn rematch at UFC 94 on Saturday night should be one for the ages, and then Sunday night, of course, is the Super Bowl. (Go Buzzsaw!)
