I have no idea what this show is about, but it comes from the same country that finds Mr. Bean funny, so how can I expect to understand?

Anyhow blackroses sent me a message on IAM that said:

We have a show in england called snog marry avoid, tonight is the start of series 3 and i was surprised and delighted to find a fork tongued teacher!

She was kind enough to include a link to it on YouTube so I could share it with you guys.

UPDATE: My favorite nomad, Howie, shot me a message saying he was the artist who did the implants and tongue split and that the girl is kissitgoodbye.

Well maybe not, but the procedure of eyeball tattooing that he has been known to perform has.

America’s favorite vagabond, Howie, who is no stranger to the ol’ ModBlog, checks in with this fancy fish cutting he did with his apprentice, Brendong. Howie said this cutting was performed “down under,” which I assume is a reference to either Australia or Hades, the abode of the dead. Hard to say.

I’m not going to make a habit of this, but when Steve from South Coast Tattoos (autoplayer - turn your volume down) submitted this photo to BMEzine.com he practically begged for it to appear on ModBlog. So here you go, Steve. Happy now?

I’m a jealous guy though and he’s prettier than me, so I censored his face, hah!

You can only see one of them in this photo, but you’ll have to take my word for it when I say that both of Rose’s ears (by Howie, LunaCobra.net) have turned out beautifully!

I really like how the shape of the plug accentuates the pointiness, too.

Please don’t think that the title is a play on words.

John Blake (in the blue shirt) forwarded me some more pictures of himself, Cutthroat (red facial tattoos), and Josh (totally blue eye), who all have eyeball tattoo work by Howie (LunaCobra.net), along with Andrew S from Swingshift (last photo). Each experienced quite a bit of spreading after the injection.

Eyeball tattooing has got to be my favorite new mod… I don’t know if it’s got universal appeal (but who’d have thought tongue splitting, also decried as completely nuts, would take off like it did). My eye tattoo is now almost one year old (along with Josh and Pauly’s). Here’s some closeup photos of how it’s doing.

As you may recall, it had some problems with a cyst-type structure developing (which was examined by eye injury specialists and ultrasounded, with no complications other than the obvious being found). While it definitely made me nervous for quite some time, it appears to be stable at this point. I’m definitely looking forward to continuing this work, and I’m always thrilled to see more of these admittedly gnarly, mutated-looking zombie-like eye experiments!
