The Freedom Bleeder

We took a look at this hateful hell demon a few months ago, when it had been freshly cut by Brandon Vermillion from Fillmore Tattoo (who you may remember as the young man who got his damn eyebrow cut off and ignited one hell of an amusing flamewar). Well, it’s a few months down the path towards healing now and, I have to say, still looks pretty damn angry and not just a little evil. Maybe it’s because he’s got all those teeth and no toothbrush? It’s hard to get a read on murderous hell-beasts these days.

Not Without My BFG 9000

This murderous, ravenous hell demon was brought into the world by local sorcerer Brandon Vermillion of Fillmore Tattoo in Fillmore, California. Vermillion, as you may remember, was the centerpiece of this hilarious shitstorm, so I guess we can surmise that, at the very least, he has not gone blind in one eye, thereby allowing him to summon this wretched beast, with a scalpel.

Full Eyebrow Removal

If there’s one thing you learn by reading BME every day, it’s that the human body is incredibly, impossibly resilient. We feature body rites and experiments with pain that some people find cringe-worthy, but the lesson, more often than not? Our bodies work very hard to take care of us, and even things that, by all accounts, seem dangerous or ill-advised, can heal perfectly well.

This is not to pass judgment on the skin removal we’re seeing here, but it’s an example of a procedure that, probably more than a lot of body modification procedures, would seem unnecessary and dangerous to the average the person. To hear the young man who had it done tell it, even the practitioner, Shawn O’Hare of Fillmore Tattoo and Piercing, was apprehensive at first:

I wanted both of my eyebrows removed for quite a while. Shawn kept refusing. Eventually after talking to Steve Haworth, he decided he would do it. We decided to do one now and one after this one has completely healed. We discussed all of the possible scenarios and risks and then went ahead with the procedure. It was pretty cut and dry. He peeled my eyebrow off and we bandaged it up.

At the very least, it’ll be very interesting to see the healing process on this piece. More shots, after the jump.

Tattoo removal, emphasis on “removal”?

More like tattoo replacement…? Or maybe this is one of those Merchant of Venice type removals where one has to debate exactly what’s getting removed to come up with a pound of flesh.

This customer of Shawn O’Hare‘s came into Fillmore Tattoo and Piercing not particularly liking his old cliché of a tribal tattoo, so Shawn replaced it with a nice hefty keloid version of itself that’s much nicer. They got almost all of the ink out, but it looks like a few specs stayed as a ghost.

The Amazing Hawaiian Mutant

Note: I’m a dope that’s slept about five hours in the last five days — this isn’t Louie, it’s Kala from Hawaii!

Louie (the Mexican Mutant) Kala had Shawn O’Hare (Fillmore Tattoo and Piercing, Fillmore, California) add a couple of forehead dermal anchors to his already very impressive collection of body modifications (including the world’s largest implanted horns).
