When someone submits a “Beard Love” tattoo?  Granted Lauranomaly probably loves all beards, so it’s not really pandering, but it sure is a good way to get me to take notice.  Anyone else think BME needs a beard gallery?

I love how stark this Kitsune is.  Even though it is a mostly solid black piece, the small bits of shading give it both depth and a sense of movement.  The fact that it’s a cover-up is just the icing on the cake.

Younger ModBlog readers may not get this reference, but anyone who has read anything on WWII knows that the original British Bulldog wasn’t a guy in tights.  Winston Churchill was famously nicknamed the bulldog during the war by the Russians for his dogged determination in fighting the Nazis.  Even when England was at it’s worst, he wouldn’t back down and with his ties to the US, was able to turn the tide and win the war.  This particular portrait of Churchill as a bulldog was done by Rich Phipson who works at Star Crossed Tattoo in Hong Kong.

Richard Effin Ivey knows how to make a mark on a person.  Including the one he’s dating.  This North Carolina scarification was done on Rich’s girlfriend, and includes what I’m guessing is her favorite flower, the stargazer lily.  Last time I checked the state flower of NC was the dogwood.  Rich works out of Warlock’s Tattoo, which is located in Raleigh, NC.

Years from now, when historians jot down the annals of tattooing for our generation, the chapter on minimalism is bound to have at least a couple of paragraphs about Hungary’s Gabor Zagyvai.  His style is carried into everything he does, as evidenced by this piece he uploaded to the religious and mythological tattoo gallery.  Not everyone appreciates the minimalist approach, but to those who do, Gabor is one of the best working minimalist tattooists working today.

Whatever it is, it is an interesting design by Darigo Bonatto, yet another artist from Self Sacrifice in London.

Viktor Sigil from Self Sacrifice in London sent in an interesting pair of tattoos that he did.  With four cocks to work with, the small changes in each design make them unique, yet thematically are so similar that they probably were done on two people who had some sort of bond, or just love the cock.  In any case, it’s always nice to see cock tattoos on ModBlog.
