I’m always amazed at the variety of scarification work out there. While the thought of actually getting any done myself is absolutely terrifying, I am often in awe of the work I see on others. Benbodhi’s piece is no exception. He got this work done at the 2nd Sydney Expo and I’m assuming it was done by multiple artists as he lists lunacobra.net, joeltron.com and bslice.com under the artist credit.

Tis the season of college graduations, this pic represents my own personal accomplishment of receiving my Bachelors degree in Music Business/Management, but I’d like to send out a big congrats to my fellow graduates for whatever field they have completed, whether you’re a marine biologist, just finished your piercing apprenticeship, or any other of the millions of fields one can go into. I thought it would be nice for BME to recognize personal accomplishments of those who face discrimination for their mods yet pursue their dreams. Congrats all!!!!

This had been sitting in my inbox a while and somehow got overlooked. Anyhow, better late than never right? Congrats guys!

On March 11th we actually delivered our son ourselves. We had planned on having an at home assisted delivery with our Midwife Meg, but our son had other plans. The time between the water breaking and his actually delivery was less than a minute and a half. Basically she pushed and I caught..lol we made our call to 911 and I tied and cut the cord myself. A little later emts arrived and wanted us to go to the hospital , which was completely contrary to what we had planned. so we waited on the midwife to show. Our son Wyatt Danger Ross was born at about 11:30 at night with no complications and is healthy and doing fine. in waterloo ny these are pics of myself (iam dtm) and my wife (iam bribri) with our daughter Rowen lily . Back in February, our very own Tristan made generous offer. He would paint a commissioned portrait and in return donate the funds to the BME Legal Defense Fund. Tristan sent me some photos of one such portrait to share with all of you.

Thought you might be interested in some pictures I took in march from a vendor in a Mall in Phuket. His body was covered with traditional, very detailed, Thai tattooing. So far, I hadn’t had the chance of seeing such extensive work. In particular in a mall.
Thanks for sharing these Ric, this is definitely not something I’d see in a mall here.
It’s time again for the Modblog weekly news roundup. Before we started I just wanted to thank those who have been submitting news stories. While I can normally get a good chunk of the national and international stories, I’m always on the lookout for local stories. So if something mod-related is going on in your neck of the woods, feel free to send it in.
To start things off this week, we’ve finally reached the end of a story we’ve probably all heard about by now. Lee Dietrick was finally awarded his “Babysitter of the Year” award. His prize? Three years in prison.
“Deitrick tattooed the outline of the letter ‘A’ on the child’s buttock. The mark covers about one-half inch. Deitrick pleaded guilty in Stark County Common Pleas Court to two felony child endangering charges as part of a plea deal with county prosecutors.
Ideally this will be the last we hear about this guy, but who knows, in three years he may still be just as stupid.
