honestly, I was impressed with her lobes at first glance. and I will say that I still am. she looks lovely.
that being said, I visited her myspace as well. as much as I disagree with judging anyone by what they say on the internet, she seems quite immature. and angry, at that. personally, I don’t think that anyone as young as 19 should have so many visible modifications. she is going to change and evolve so much (at least I hope).
but this is just me being opinionated. for all I know, she could be the sweetest girl in the world.
I really can’t understand why almost everyone here is so amazed by her lobes. Sure, lobes at that size, in this thickness are rare, but somehow they’re weird. Too thick, red, swollen. And again: She’s 19! When did she start stretching, how can her lobes be that big? Most likely not by careful, healthy and safe stretching. Especially in the third photo, her right lobe just makes me think “yuck”. Hope I don’t get grilled by her loverboys and girls.

Obviously these photos were ’shopped. If you look at her actual pictures on Myspace, her lobes are red/purple lacking oxygen and ready to snap. Not quite as healthy as they seem here. Strange.

She’s cute, I will say. But then, I think it’s something about the throat tattoo that does it.. Something with girls and neck tattoos that I like. i think a lot these comments were really mean and i dont think that modblog is here for people to bash people. she is beautiful, i dont know her or her ethics or what she wants to do with her life or anything so im not judging her. im 19 and i think that if she wants to have all those mods at 19 more power to her! its her body! i thought people who frequent modblog were of the sentiment that we all can do to our bodies whatever we want!
Even tho personally I think it’s a tad irresponsible to have such visible mods at such a young age, it’s her life and her body. Isn’t that what we always say to others when they question us? We don’t want others to tell us what to do, so practice what you preach, hmkay?
Anyway, I love her ears ^^ and her throat piece :) because they’re gorgeous. And earsize wise, I can tell you from personal experience some people can stretch very quickly without tearing, bleeding, or blow-outs. I stretched from 0.8 mm to 5 in a matter of 2 weeks, simply because I have extremely stretchy skin. I never forced and was extremely carefull. Nobody would or should ever get the advice to stretch that quick, but my body could take it, and my lobe is perfectly healthy. Just saying…
it is possible she’s been scalpel’d a few times? My ears are impossibly unstretchy :( I want to scalpel but worried about future stretching abilities…
Lauren is most definitely one of the HOTTEST gals I’ve seen in Phoenix. I assure you her lobes are nicely stretched and very healthy. I have met her personally, and have removed her eyelets, checked out her nice ‘n thick lobes and reinserted the jewelry on several occasions. Her jewelry is actually a bit loose, and she can stretch much further is she wants to do so. Again, incredible lobes and very nice:)

Alright, first off….
This is a modification site, not a rant and rave site about what my personality is like.
You’re all right, I am rude, and immature, but I am happy with who I am and where I am going.
For those of you who think those pictures were photoshopped, they were not. Not by me anyways. What happens to them when they get put up is out of my control, although I’m sure they do not get touched.
To answer peoples questions about the time I’ve spent stretching, I did it fast, because I could. My ears are very elastic, and can stretch up 1/4″ at a time without any force or anything. My ears aren’t the healthiest, thats for sure, but “bacon-y” is not how I would describe them.
For those of you concerned with me finding a job, or ruining my future or whatever, why do you care? I chose to do this for myself, I plan on being in the modification industry in the future, I am currently employed full time, and start school again in January. I have a bright future, with or without what I have done to myself.
In regards to the “poorly cared for piercing” comment, I apologize that I didn’t like what the cheek piercings look like on me, and mostly had them done for the scars. I didn’t have dimples prior to the piercings and I am constantly complimented on the results of it.
I get pierced by professionals and take care of all my modifications, whether it be piercings, or tattoos, or otherwise as close to perfect as one can.
I really didn’t feel like having to comment on all of this, but seriously, the internet is out of control with the haters these days.

Grace - I didn’t see any photos of “bacony and red” ears. I think the pixellation and white balance of some of the photos give the impression that Lauren’s wonderful lobes are less healthy than they actually are. Not perfect, but very thick and healthy with a good blood supply. And those awesome ears have not been photoshopped. I met Lauren while she was at work, so the “hasn’t had a job in [whatever] amount of time” comments are simply not accurate.

I stretched mine big back in the mid 90’s, I think 15 years is long enough for society to adjust to something different about the way humans make themselves look.

I must say that if someone so young came into my shop asking for a neck tattoo I would have to deny them. I do it all the time, but indeed, to each their own. I will not do a neck , hand, facial tattoo on someone unless they’re already pretty visibly tattooed, it’s just my moral standard and if they really want it and won’t heed my professional advice then so be it, they go to someone who doesn’t care and will have it done but I will sleep better at night. As for the job thing, yes it is definitely much harder to find job from ignorant employers who judge people on their looks but unfortunately, that’s the way it is. Perhaps one day things will change and people will be based on their abilities instead of their exterior but we’re not there yet. Also, just because this lovely young lady says she plans on being a part of the modification community as a profession, does not mean it will happen. She may not find a job here either, it’s not the easiest profession to get into, I can say that from experience. I don’t know what it’s like where she lives but here in good ‘ol NJ, you are required to have many things before joining this profession. I also know many people who heavily modified themselves, DID end up working in the field, left it, and now struggle to find a good job willing to accommodate them as they look. Basically, all I’m saying is that people will do what they want to do no matter what their age, won’t always go about it responsibly, and there’s really nothing that us on the other side can do about it. The most important thing is that she’s happy with who she is. Unfortunately she may have to learn a lesson the hard way but haven’t we all? xoxo

like the look! actually i love it and have to sleeves plus hands and my throat done and my left leg. i stretched my ears to about a 12mm but took them out as it wasnt for me and the healing time between stretches was to long and painful. I am not hating with the comment im about to make its just an educated opinion and observation of what i see and if you are going to ”model” and have your image on the net this is what you are in for and im sure the beautiful girl here knows this.
