By Shannon • Aug 29th, 2007 • Category: ModBlogMistressNomad got this impulsive tattoo while road tripping in Toas, New Mexico (by Matt at Talisman Tattoos). It’s a line from Howl by Allen Ginsberg, done in her handwriting.

Taos! Lil’ vowel switcheroo!
I love it.
The script looks great and the Taos area is beautiful. What a great reminder of a wonderful area.
wait, allen ginsberg?
Hey, I’m from Rockland!
Can you see her?
Yes! Talisman is where I got my impulsive tattoo while road-tripping through Taos. Very nice boys there.
New Mexico!
I’ve always wanted to get a tattoo for every place around the world that I visit - I haven’t traveled anywhere significant since I turned 18, but hopefully soon I’ll start.
I like her handwriting :)
I love that, it’s a wonderful poem.
to rhiannon #9 - just be careful! i got a tattoo in paris when i went there…. the artist didn’t listen to me, and i should have just walked out, but i didn’t feel like i could… and the result was that i’m not completely pleased with the tattoo. my tattoo artist here at home’s going to fix it for me.
so just be careful!
on the other hand, when i traveled to florida, i got a tattoo there and i lovelovelove it.
but ever since the france tattoo… i’ve been sticking to collecting charmbracelet charms instead!
Is her ribcage looking pretty bruised or is that ink?
I’ve seen the best tattoos of my generation…
haha. allen ginsberg supports NAMBLA. I didn’t believe until I visited the NAMBLAS website… which brings up, why does NAMBLA need a web site?
nice though. pretty.
OOPZ!! It’s Taos!! Not Toas!
NAMBLA will always remind me of The Daily Show because of their running joke with that.
I think this is a Something Corporate lyric too..
hey, i live in rockland… county, new york.
Wow, sweet! I didn’t even notice I got ModBlogged until someone sent me a message on IAM.
I’m planning to add to this soon, so I’ll be sure to post another pic when I do.
Addressing the NAMBLA connection, it was to prove a point about free speech and sexuality repression in the US. Love it or hate it, I think he had a point.
Besides, who doesn’t enjoy a good crazy?
Kate - It’s left over transfer ink, and maybe a touch of blood. This is literally seconds after I took the bandage off.
Thanks, Shannon! I’m honored. :)
