Mari (more) just sent me this pretty suspension painting she did inspired by some of the suspension pictures on ModBlog (note to the jealous: I didn’t get an actual painting, just an email). Oh yeah, and if you didn’t notice, I added an Art subsection that I’ll start posting to I hope, and I’ve moved a “what’s new on BME” list of galleries into the left bar, and you should see a search form in the next day or two as well!

Now, the core picture in this design (the “celtic shamrock”) is fairly common and is probably on quite a few sheets of flash, but I think this is a good example of how you can take a popular motif and tattoo it a little bigger, a little cleaner, a little brighter, and with a few extra features (like the negative space clovers) and turn it from overdone to something unique and far more effective. This tattoo is by Justin Weatherholtz at Wizard’s World in Douglassville, PA.

I looooooove these silicon temple ridges that Bruno (BrunoBMA.com) at Ghirigori Family Body Adornment in Lecco, Italy did. Great look!

Grow your own cockring! My old friend c_ntryboy (who recently had a way more intense modification — a shoulder replacement) has gone through a few ordeals achieving his transscrotal piercing, but it sure looks like it’s doing great now… he can even turn himself inside-out (or upside-down?).

So… how do you DMCA a tattoo off of a person? Am I allowed to tell people that it’s a “09-f9-11-02-9d-74-e3-5b-d8-41-56-c5-63-56-88-c0 tattoo”? Is a magazine permitted to print photos of this tattoo? Can the tattoo artist or shop (Good Faith Tattoos, Boston) be sued? Can the person wearing the tattoo be sued? Can a corporation force a medical procedure (a tattoo removal)? Can they force him to always wear a shirt? Well, Rich from The New Freedom has decided to be the bait!
