Gorgeous forearms and forelegs

By Shannon • Apr 30th, 2007 • Category: ModBlog

Jewel’s Sideshow recently completed this beautiful set of geometric halfsleeves on all her limbs. Very pretty… and oh-so-mean to the poor, (now) cross-eyed tattoo artist.

Best Tattoo Ever… Already Beaten!

By Shannon • Apr 30th, 2007 • Category: ModBlog

I didn’t think that the me and your mom tattoo would get one-upped any time soon in terms of winning the slap-stick crass-and-crude tattoo Olympics, but I hadn’t considered the Howie-factor (lunacobra.net), now that he’s tattooing as well! What a hilarious gaff on Lionel’s work (see also: 1 2 3 4) and other avant-garde modern tattoo artists.

Big Teflon Ear Spools

By Shannon • Apr 30th, 2007 • Category: ModBlog

Skip sends in these pictures of Steve’s great looking 65mm and 75mm spools. As well as the plugs, I’m not normally a fan of tattooed eyebrows because they often “force” a mood, but I think Steve’s look quite nice.

Sewing Machine Performance

Kiki I think may be trying to have her guy experience some of the not-so-joyful moments of pregnancy in this performance? I’m not sure… Click to uncensor.

Next weekend (May 5th - 6th) IAM members Ryan and Laura are participating in the MS150, a 150 mile bike ride between Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas, to raise funds for research into the cause and cure for Multiple Sclerosis, a degenerative disease of the central nervous system.

2.5 million people worldwide are affected by MS, including family members of IAM members, and likely some IAM members themselves.

They are accepting donations online here (Ryan) and here (Laura).

Donations can be as little as $1.

Visit their pages or click the donation links for more details.

Articulated Bald Eagle Backpiece

By Shannon • Apr 30th, 2007 • Category: ModBlog

This tattoo — which must look great in person where you can see it move, and I think will age really nicely (because it’s heavy and simple) — was done by Vern (”The Mad Hatter”) at Backdoor Studio in Sacramento, California. I wish I could post a video of this tattoo in motion — if you have a big tattoo, I’d be thrilled if you could send us a video of how it moves on your body… You can send them to Roo at films@bmevideo (let him know it’s for ModBlog if you do).

To fill in or not to fill in, that is the question… Stars by Lonnie at Vill’s Tattoos and Piercings in Milton, FL.
