All white tribal tattoos

By Shannon • Nov 30th, 2006 • Category: ModBlog

Wow. This doesn’t even look real it’s so unusual (and wonderful) looking. Done by the consistently sexy -MFT- in Moscow, Russia. Lots more high res photos of this will be posted in Monday’s tattoo galleries of Olga’s white/negative tribal tattoo.

What is "BME MANCORE"?

By Shannon • Nov 30th, 2006 • Category: ModBlog

From their official forum:

You don’t need anesthetic, you need MANesthetic. Suck it up, complete the list. Be a man. Lets face it, it is a competition. How it works: ten man points for each of the following, and more than 90 points makes you an official man.

  • large gauge non-lobe piercing
  • Red Wings
  • Your lifestyle must result in at least one animal death per day
  • Interest in at least one of the following: fish hooking, gas masks, blood play, tromboning, tampon removal with teeth.
  • Genital Piercings
  • Face, hand or neck tattoos
  • Strong dislike of emos
  • Enjoys Vaginal suffication
  • Has had a piercing with a gun
  • HAS ONLY EVER SHED A SINGLE TEAR (man tear)
  • Displaying the man core forum button
  • surgical mods
  • Surgical mods you did yourself

Bonuses and curses:

  • Vegitarian, Vegan: -20 Main Points
  • Play piercing gluttony (30+ per session): Chadam award
  • So drunk you got lost on the way home: Toast award

God I love microcults. Black toe forever. Mancore forever. Actually, I only scored a ninety, so I’m apparently just barely a man so maybe I should be offended. Death to Mancore! Anyway, the left photo (assuming I didn’t get the two mixed up) is on littlejohn and the other is on evilpixie by Metalurgey in Dundee, Scotland.

"An image from a second session"

Seriously Pastille, you should keep at modelling (see the previous post). This photo was taken by Santos R. Photography in Brussels, Belgium.

"My first time as a model"

Don’t think I’m hitting on you Pastille, but I’d say you did a great job. Photo © by DG Photography in Belgium. I can’t get their site going because I use Flash 7 (damn linux), but if you wanted prints or anything like that, that’s who you should contact.

This time I’ll get his name right!

By Shannon • Nov 30th, 2006 • Category: ModBlog

Let me make up for linking DerKaiser wrong last time by posting this great photo of a 22ga neck play piercing he recently did in Germany. That reminds me, I’ve slowly started speaking German to Nefarious (my daughter) because right now she’s a total sponge for language and I only have to say something once for her to pick it up. Four languages seems like a good number.

Twoleg: Scar or Cut

By Shannon • Nov 30th, 2006 • Category: ModBlog

Care of Mr_Hyde, I like this balanced out blackwork tattooing versus cutting outline calf sleeve… The two techniques work very nicely together. Done by Pialla at La Vecchia Bezzy in Barcelona.

Nice Curves!

By Shannon • Nov 30th, 2006 • Category: ModBlog

I’m talking about the chest cutting — smooth curves like this sankofa design can be a challenge. This was done by Brian at Pure Body Arts in Brooklyn, NY. I wanted to mention again that because there are so few advanced and experienced practitioners in this world that if you live in an area where there isn’t anyone, you can organize a tour… In general, all you have to do is get a small number of people together that guarantee enough appointments to make the tour possible — convince your friends/customers!

"Peace out, Jakarta"

By Shannon • Nov 30th, 2006 • Category: ModBlog

Jon Durante, who’s been doing an amazing around the world journey with friends (featured here previously: mexico, phuket, borneo, etc), documented this anti-Bush protest/riot while in Bogor, Java, Indonesia. I know it’s not really “ModBlog” related but I hope people would find it interesting nonetheless.

Anyway, I’ve been feeling under the weather and some mornings have trouble getting through the work, so today I’m going to try preposting a bunch of updates. If I do it right, you’ll probably see one appear an hour or something like that, rather than them all posting at once. Hope it works!

Geometry, Dotwork, and Polynesian Motifs

By Shannon • Nov 29th, 2006 • Category: ModBlog

These beautiful sleeves enjoying the beach are by Vincent Hocquet at Beautiful Freak in St. Idesbald, Belgium. Anyway, I hope today’s updates are alright — I think I’m on day five of basically no sleep, and yesterday my doctor upped a bunch of stuff to try and help me sleep, but all it’s done so far is make me feel dopey during the day, ha… grr… I’d much rather be hanging out on the beach with this guy.
