Now, I love it, and have a similar (well, Tom of Finland-style) piece planned for my leg, but I’ll ask him the same question that I ask myself when considering this motif: how the hell do you explain this tattoo to your kids (if you have any) — let alone someone else’s kids… I’d hate to be added to the sex offender registries just for walking down the street!

Definitely better as a leg piece than it would have been as an arm one, I think - as you say, how do you explain it to your kids/mother-in-law/probation officer - but I like it alot, thematically and artistically.
Am I brave enough to get something along the same lines - probably not!

He actually had his forearms tattooed with erotic art as well. I found it interesting how comfortable he was with showing them of while looking you straight in the eye.

I love this tattoo but understand your concern. I could see someone thinking that anyone with a tattoo this explicit would be a sex offender.
If it were me and my kid, I would simply tell them that it is art and explain to my child that art comes in many different forms and is expressed differently through different people. Then I would remind them that many people will find it tasteless and vulgar, but it doesn’t make me a bad person. That everyone has a right to their own opinion.
and hopefully they would understand :)

This tattoo is extremely well done! It’s incredible. I’m not sure how I feel about it but when it comes down to it, it’s not how I feel that matters. As long as he is happy with it then all is well.

I’d have to agree with you Etoile, MOST women wouldn’t touch this guy with a 10 foot stick, at least not any with a smidgeon of self respect. but I guess when he makes it to prison for multiple counts of indecency he’ll be a popular billboard for shower masterbation. also seems to denote respect issues with women….. not attractive but I will admit the artist was talented.
